Most places in Kerala receive rains
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 29 (UNI) Rains occurred at most places in Kerala and at a few places in Lakshwadeep, with the Southern districts in the state receiving far less showers.
The Local met office here said the highest rainfall was recorded at Vadakara followed by Kannur, Irikkur and Mananthawadi -- six cm each.
Alapuzzha, Kunnamkulam and Thrissur got five cm rains each, it said.
Four cm of rains was received at Kozhikode, Wadakkanchery, Ambalavayal, Koyilandi, Thalassery and Munnar.
The Met office also warned of isolated rains in Kerala and Lakshwadeep. It also said strong onshore winds from the westerly direction with a speed of 45/55 kmph was likely along on and off the coast of Kerala.
