Fake passport: Monica produced before CBI court

Hyderabad, June 29: Monica Bedi, girlfriend of gangster Abu Salem, was produced in the CBI Special Court here today, for further examination in the fake passport case.

Besides examining Monica Bedi, the court also examined Jagannatha Reddy, who was accused of issuing false certificates for obtaining the passport. The CBI, which was investigating the case produced two other accused in the court.

The court posted the case for further hearing to July 11.

After obtaining the passport issued from Kurnool district, Monica Bedi and Abu Salem escaped to Lisbon.

While Abu Salem was being examined in Mumbai, Monica was brought here in connection with the fake passport case. She is presently in judicial custody.
