MCD Junior Engineer, photographer arrested on bribery charges

New Delhi, June 29 (UNI) Police have arrested a junior engineer of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and a photographer for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for not demolishing a complainant's house in Burari area here.

Photographer Rajesh Kumar alias Raju, who was acting as a conduit to the JE, was arrested while accepting Rs 20,000 as first instalment of the Rs one lakh agreed to be paid under the deal, according to the police.

Later, JE Roop Chand was also arrested following the interrogation of the photographer.
