Kilburn reports Rs 964 lakh profit

Kolkata, June 29 (UNI) Kilburn Engineering Ltd, a member of Williamson Magor Group of Kolkata, today declared a profit of Rs 964 lakh against Rs 84 lakh loss the previous year.

The company reported sale worth Rs 72 crore for the period ended March 31, 2006.

Exports to USA, Europe, China and the far East constitute 38 per cent of sales. The company has also established preferred supplier relationships with leading carbon black producers worldwide.

Domestically, the company has diversifed its range to include dryers for sugar and for paddy.

The company expects to achieve 40 per cent sales in the current year, of which exports are expected to be 70 per cent of sales. The company plans to relocate to a larger manufacturing facility during 2007.

As on March 31, 2006, the company's net worth turned positive and accordingly the company has sought for de-registration from BIFR.

Kilburn Engineering Limited has manufacturing facilities in Mumbai and manufactures products and process equipement for the chemical, petrochemical and food processing industries.
