IGTPL sets up online container tracking facility for shipping lines
Kochi, Jun 29 (UNI) The India Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (IGTPL), operating the Rajiv Gandhi Container Terminal here, has launched an online facility for its customers to keep track of their containers and vessel schedules.
On the website www.igtpl.com, launched on June 26, details will be updated twice a day to provide the latest information to the registered shipping lines on the status of their containers at the terminal.
The terminal's customers can also submit queries, suggestions and feedback on the website, IGTPL general manager Suresh Joseph said in a statement here.
The IGTPL website was launched on June 26 by Dubai Ports World chief executive officer Mohammed Sharaf.
DP World has won the bid to set up the Vallarpadam International Container Transshipment Terminal, India's first container transshipment terminal. The foundation stone for the terminal was laid by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in February last year.
The India Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of D P World, took over the Rajiv Gandhi Container Terminal here last year as part of the Vallarpadam International Container Transshipment Terminal.
