High-level committee examining Navy leakage case: Raju

Machilipatnam, June 29 (UNI) The Defence Ministry is examining the role of country's top officials in the leakage of naval informations to other countries and a high-level committee of officials is inquiring into the whole issue, Minister of State for Defence M Pallam Raju said today.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Raju said guilty would be brought to justice and nobody would escape as it was a serious issue concerning the security of the nation.

He said the expertise of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in optical technology would be shared with the Regional Engineering College at Warangal for the students studying opticology.

The Minister also urged the engineering managements to introduce opticology as a main subject in their respective colleges to further improve the oto-electronic system.

He lauded the officials and staff of the local BEL unit for producing the state-of-the-art night vision systems, which were very important to curb the infiltration and nocturnal activities.
