Govt to constrct cyclone protection centre soon
Kancheepuram, Jun 29 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government will construct a Cyclone Protection Centre at the cost of Rs 50 lakh at Seyyur.
Announcing this at a function organised here to demonstrate to the coastal people how to protect themselves from natural calamities, District Collector Pradeep Yadav said the proposed centre, near Madurantakam, would be equipped to face natural calamities.
The proposed centre would also be used as a community hall.
He said the construction of tsunami shelters with proper sanitation facilities would be completed within two months.
