Govt guarantee for HUDCO loan

Bhopal, June 29 : The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to grant government guarantee for loan of Rs 456.80 lakh from HUDCO for the drinking water augmentation scheme for Dabra town.

A decision to this effect was taken by the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Tuesday.

According to official sources, HUDCO will provide 80 percent loan, while the remaining cost will be borne by the state government and the civic body.

The augmentation scheme costing Rs 571 lakh is scheduled to be completed in one-and-a-half year, and the water source will be the Sindh river. The town will get additional supply of 11 million litre per day after completion of the scheme on the estimated 30 year requirement.
