Fibre Boat manufaturing unit gutted in Pondy

Pondicherry, June 29 (UNI) Property worth Rs Five lakh were gutted in a fire which broke out in a fibre boat manufacturing unit at Kirumambakkam near here this evening.

According to fire service sources,the unit owned by one Duraisamy of Narambai village caught fire.

On information, fire tenders from Bahour and Pondicherry and put out the blaze.

Electrical short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire, the sources said.
