Dell launches Platinum plus service
New Delhi, June 29 (UNI) Computer maker Dell today launched Platinum Plus-- its latest enterprise service with the highest level of support for server and storage system customers.
The company said its new service is the result of a 200 million dollar investment and will integrate Google Earth to provide an interactive 3D command centre for clients.
''This premium 7x24 service is the latest result of more than 200 million dollars Dell has invested in enterprise service and support over the past several years,'' Dell India VP and General Manager Rajan Anandan said.
The new product will provide breakthrough productivity tools and is a key differentiator in Dell's strategy to enable a higher level of control for its business, education and government customers, which comprise about 85 per cent of Dell's revenue, he added.
The new enterprise service offering includes 7x24 support of hardware, software, a round the clock support centre, a dedicated technical account manager and a guaranteed four hour response time.
Platinum Plus includes the industry's first operations performance benchmarking feature, a patent-pending methodology that allows customers to routinely compare critical IT performance metrics to historical results and similarly configured environments.
