Delhi continues to reel under hot, humid conditions

New Delhi, June 29 (UNI) Delhi continued to reel under hot and humid conditions today with the relative humidity persisting at 86 per cent.

The Meteorological department said the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degress Celsius, five degrees below normal, while the minimum was 24.8 degrees C, five degrees below normal.

The Met office said the conditions will prevail till the monsoons arrived, for which the scheduled date was today.

Generally cloudy sky with rains or thundershowers are forecast for the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature is expected to remain at 35 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the Southwest monsoon has arrived in Delhi with it advancing into some parts of East and West Uttar Pradesh, many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh and most parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The northern limit of monsoon passes through Bhuj, Ahmedabad, Guna, Jhansi, Barielly, Dehra dun, Shimla, Dharamshala and Jammu.
