DeAM appoints Ayaz Ebrahim as CIO Asia Pacific and Middle East

Mumbai, June 29 (UNI) Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM), the global investment management business of Deutsche Bank, has announced the appointment of Ayaz Ebrahim to the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Based in Hong Kong, Ebrahim will commence with DeAM in the third quarter of this year. Earlier he was with HSBC's investment group, HSBC Halbis Partners, where he was CEO with responsibility for investment management in the Asia Pacific region.

''We are delighted to have someone of Ayaz's pedigree join our rapidly expanding business in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region,'' DeAM's Head of Asia Pacific and Middle Eastd Ed Peter said.

''In addition to managing existing investments, Ayaz will play a critical role in delivering new investment products to clients in our region and beyond,'' he added.
