De Silva joins Tendukar at Lashings cricket club

London, June 29 (UNI) Former Sri Lanka captain Aravinda de Silva will play along with Sachin Tendulkar at Lashings Cricket Club here in a couple of matches over the next few weeks.

The club said in a release today that Aravinda joins the team from July 4, when the team travel to Somerset to play Taunton School.

Former Lanka all-rounder Russel Arnold will also be with Lashings from July 11, when the team travel to Cornwall to play against Penryn School.

Tendulkar and Ajit Agarkar, who also recently joined the club, will play away matches against Middleton Cricket Club on July 2 and Taunton School, Somerset, on July 4.

The club said in a release that the July 4 match replaces their previously billed appearance at the Sparks Charity Day on July 5.
