Combined water storage at 22 per cent of designed capacity

New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI) The combined storage position in important reservoirs of the country, on June this year was 22 per cent of their designed capacity.

Basinwise storage position on June was--better than average of previous 10 years in Indus, Tapi, Mahi, Sabarmati, Godavari, Krishna, Mahanadi and neighbouring East Flowing Rivers, Cauvery and Neighbouring East Flowing Rivers and West Flowing Rivers of South.

The storage was 80 per cent or more than average of previous 10 years in Narmada and Rivers of Kutch but in Ganga it was less than 80 per cent average of previous 10 years.
