Chargesheet against JD(U) MLA

Patna, June 29 (UNI) Police today submitted a chargesheet against JD(U) MLA Narendra Pandey alias Sunil Pandey in a local court in a case involving intimidation of mediapersons.

The chargesheet was filed before Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna Sushma Sinha under sections 341 and 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for restraining wrongfully and intimidating mediapesons.

According to the charges, Mr Pandey intimidated a reporter of a private news channel in a hotel when he was asked by the scribe how he was boarding the hotel without registration on June 24.

Mr Pandey was arrested and later released on bail on June 26.
