Srinagar, June 29 (UNI) National Panthers Party Chief Prof Bhim Singh today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to immediately convene a meeting of all coalition partners in Jammu and Kashmir to sort out sharp and growing conflict between the Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing a news conference here, he regretted that the PDP had adopted a stance on demilitarisation and self-rule which was totally opposite to the stand taken by the Centre and the state government.

Prof Singh said the PDP's stand created confusion and political anarchy and uncertainty that could create panic in the state.

On the sex scandal, he said free trail of the accused was a fundamental right of every citizen and hoped that the Kashmir Bar Association should respect the law and ensure free and fair trial.

The Panthers Party Chief said if such a situation continued the sex racket case need to be shifted to another place.

Prof Singh described the Amarnath Shivalingam controversy as political to malign a ''highly honest and upright Governor''.
