6 held for forgery
Chennai, Jun 29 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch Police today arrested six persons, including an elderly woman, for allegedly attempting to sell a piece of land by producing forged documents, at suburban Nolambur here.
Based on a complaint from Gnanaraj who owned 75 cents of land at Nolambur, police arrested Jeya Singh, Ginji Annamalai, Athi, Santhiappan, Shanmugasundaram and his mother Kamalammal.
Following the information given by them, the police will be interrogating two revenue officials, including a tashildar, who allegedly helped the accused in fabricating the documents, they added.
