Two killed by lightning in Bengal

Durgapur, West Bengal, Jun 28 (UNI) At least two labourers were killed and seven injured when lightning struck them in this steel township today.

Police said the victims were working in a site for PWD under heavy downpour when the lightning struck them.

All the nine injured were taken to a hospital, where two succumbed to their wounds, while the condition of the rest was stated to be critical.

Details were awaited.
