Sporadic rainfall raises humidity level

Kolkata, Jun 28 (UNI) Kolkatans continued to sweat it out as monsoon showers evaded the city.

The rains have been sporadic this season leading to hot and humid conditions.

The MET office has, however, forecast a smart shower in the next 24 hours coupled with thunderstorms.

The city woke up to a bright sunny morning while dark clouds hovered along the skyline by noon giving an impression of a heavy rainfall. But it did not rain.

According to MET officials the relative humidity was 92 per cent.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 35.4(+2) degree Celsius and the minimum 27.4 degree Celsius.
