Silver high, gold down

Mumbai, June 28: A mixed trend was noticed in the bullion opening prices as silver rose on strong global advice, while gold eased on poor demand by ornament makers, said traders at the bullion market here today.

Following were the opening rates today: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 16,170, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,790, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,840.
