Siddaramaiah calls on Sonia
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and All India Progressive Janata Dal leader Siddaramaiah today called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi in what is described as a ''courtesy call''.
The former Deputy CM is likely to call on Congress leaders again keeping alive the ''rumour mill'' that the former Chief Minister will join the Congress fold.
Sources said that the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) and post Cabinet expansion also figured in the discussion.
Former Karnataka Ministers and Congress leaders D K Shivakumar and H M Revanna were with Mr Siddaramaiah during his visit here.
Mr Siddaramaiah, a two-time Deputy CM in the Ministries of J H Patel and Dharam Singh, is still a member of the Janata Dal (Secular) in the Karnataka Assembly and has a support of eight MLAs.
