Prof Rajat Kanta Ray appointed Visva Bharati's new VC

Santiniketan, Jun 28 (UNI) Prof Rajat Kanta Ray was today appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Visva Bharati University.

Official sources said President APJ Abdul Kalam appointed Prof Ray to the post for next five years.

Prof Ray, the History professor of Presidency College, takes over from Prof Sujit Bose whose tenure ended on June 25.
