Prof Rajat Kanta Ray Visva Bharati's new VC

Santiniketan, Jun 28: Prof Rajat Kanta Ray was today appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the Visva Bharati University.

Official sources said President A P J Abdul Kalam appointed Prof Ray for the post for next five years.

Prof Ray was the History professor of Presidency College. He took up the charge from Prof Sujit Bose whose tenure ended on June 25.
