President accepts Kapse's resignation as Andaman LG

New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) The President has accepted the resignation of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lieutenant Governor (LG) Ramachandra Ganesh Kapse who had put in his papers recently due to health problems.

The President has appointed Pondicherry Lt Governor M M Lakhera to continue to discharge the functions of the LG of the islands in addition to his own duties, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman said in a statement today.
