PM to meet farmers in Vidarbha on Friday, Saturday
Nagpur, Jun 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha and Yavatmal districts during his two-day tour to Vidarbha beginning June 30.
Dr Singh will arrive by a special plane on June 30 at 1000 hrs at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and will straightway fly to Dhamangaon in Amravati by a chopper at 1100 hrs. He will meet farmers and hear their grievances before leaving for Sewagram Ashram in Wardha and will spend about two hours in Bapu Kuti. At 1530 hrs, he will leave for Waifad in Wardha district to attend a programme.
The Prime Minister will return to Nagpur at 1800 hrs and stay overnight at Rajbhawan.
On July 1, he will leave for Kolzari in Yavatmal district by a chopper at 0900 hrs and talk to the grief-striken family members of the farmers who have committed suicide.
He will fly back to Nagpur and will have a series of meetings with top revenue and other officials at 1130 hrs. During the meetings, he will take stock of the various schemes started by the central government in the region and review the problems faced by farmers in Vidarbha. He will fly back to New Delhi at 1900hrs.
