MP mulls setting up national university
Bhopal, June 28: The Madhya Pradesh government is considering seting up of a national university along with fully-developed residential education campus with a view to provide quality higher education of international standards to the local youth, Minister of State for Higher Education Tukojirao Pawar said.
With this objective, Mr Pawar visited the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) at Hyderabad and held discussions with its Board of Governors.
The institute has occupied important place in the field of education at national level and has been included in the 10 best business schools with cent per cent students getting placement in the past five years.
Mr Pawar stressed the need for setting up a national level institution in Madhya Pradesh for providing quality higher education and to start new courses of higher studies in tune with economic liberalisation and globalisation. He also met 35 students from the state studying at the institution.
The students suggested that if such an institution was set up in Madhya Pradesh it would certainly help in putting a check on the migration of students to other states.
Mr Pawar said the institute wanted to invest Rs 30 crore in next five years for developing infrastructure in the state. It also offered professional orientation of the professors employed in colleges.
