Manish Savsani gets 10-day police custody in assault case

Jamnagar, June 28 (UNI) Rajkot-based Manish Savsani, who was arrested by Ahmedabad Police in the sensational Swadhyay Parivar murder case of a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), was today brought here on transfer warrant and sent to ten days' police remand on the charge of allegedly assaulting one Vinubhai Gajjar on January 1, 2003.

Even as police sought 14 days' remand, local court judge K S Patel granted ten day's remand. Police Inspectors P I Rathod and V D Gohil are now investigating the case, which was closed three years back after the police was unable to make much headway.

Manish Savsani, one of the main suspects in the murder case of NRI Pankaj Trivedi, was arrested by Ahmedabad Police last Sunday immediately after he was discharged from hospital.
