Maldives insurance takes 3i Infotech product

Bangalore, June 28: A Maldives insurance company has selected Premia, an insurance offering of 3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions, to automate operations and enhance its market share.

3i Infotech, in a release here, said that under the agreement, Allied Insurance of the Maldives Pvt Ltd would implement 3i Infotech's Premia solution which would help it to create multi-dimensional health products, while optimising activities such as benefits management, provider contracting, customer enrolments, claims processing, underwriting, policy administration, reinsurance and accounting.

The system would also allow the insurer to streamline interactions with customers, third party administrators (TPAs) and provider networks. This was facilitated by an extended operation, including a web-based portal, to empower TPAs and agents and enable SMS intimations to customers, the release said.

The island's only Government-run insurance company was the leader in the Maldives insurance market. Deployment of Premia would help in enhancing its customer base as well as widen its TPA network, the release said.
