Kin of farmer receives financial assitance from US-based sponsor

Mumbai, June 28 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief minister R R Patil today handed over a cheque of Rs 3.57 lakh to the family of Nilkanth Haste of Ghatanji in Yavatmal district who had committed suicide in December last year for his inability to repay debts due to crop failure.

The aid was sponsored by US-based businessman Prakash Shah.
