Karunanidhi sanctions solatium

Chennai, Jun 28 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today sanctioned a sum of Rs one lakh as solatium to the family members of Head Constable Annamalai of Periyapalayam Police station who was hit and runover by an unidentified lorry, when he was in the routine patrol duty, at suburban Periyapalayam early today.

A State Government press release said here tonight, the Chief Minister also expressed his condolence to the family members.

Mr Karunanidhi has also ordered to consider a suitable job for the eligible member of the family, under compositary grounds,the release added.
