Governor summons state legislature

Srinagar, June 28 : Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha has summoned the state legislature here on July 28.

An official spokesman today said the Governor, in exercise of powers under section 52 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, summoned the state legislature.

The Legislative Assembly has been summoned to meet at 0900 hrs and the Legislative Council at 0930 hrs, he added.

The spokesman said the Assembly Secretariat has requested all the legislators to send to it five starred and as many un-starred question and two bills besides resolutions before July 12.

Similarly, Council members have been asked to send starred, un-starred questions, private members bills and resolutions before July 14, he added.
