India agrees to increase weekly seats from Kuwait by 1,300
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Minister for civil aviation Praful Patel today met Kuwait's minister of communication Ismael Al-Shatty and discussed issues on promotion of bilateral relations in civil aviation.
The Indian side conceded to the Kuwaiti request to increase the weekly capacity of airlines operating from Kuwait by 1,300 seats from today.
This is pending the outcome of forthcoming talks to be held on July 18 and 19. Kuwait Airways will maintain its current schedule and capacity of 5,200 seats per week while Jazeera Airways will get the additional 1,300 seats per week.
It was agreed that bilateral talks in July will look into connectivity of Kuwait with more Indian cities, to further increase in number of seats and other bilateral civil aviation issues.
