Ind member takes oath in K'taka Council

Bangalore, June 28 (UNI) Mr Marithibbe Gowda, recently elected to the Karnataka Legislative Council from the South Teachers constituency, today took oath as a member of the House.

Officiating Chairman Sachidanand Khot administered the oath to Mr Gowda, an independent member.

Higher Education Minister D H Shankara Murthy, Leader of the Opposition H K Patil and JD(U) member M P Nada Gouda congratulated Mr Gowda.

Mr Khot adjourned the House for tomorrow after administering the oath.
