Incensed Uma blasts mediapersons
Ujjain, MP, June 28 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti President and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti today blasted mediapersons as she was en route to offering worship at this ancient temple town's world-renowned Mahakaleshwar shrine, one of the country's dozen 'jyotirlingas'.
The firebrand sadhvi arrived early today and was heading for the temple in the afternoon when the press wished to interact with her.
''I will not pay my respects to Mahakal until you go away. Media are repeatedly attempting to spoil my five-year-old penance,'' the incensed sanyasin told the press.
The mediapersons gave way, Ms Bharti offered worship at the shrine and headed for Shajapur.
Party sources said she would reach Lajpa Devi's temple, in Rajgarh district, by road and address a public meeting at Kumbhraj before spending the night at Guna.
Following her expulsion from the BJP, the sadhvi told journalists at a railway station that they should not follow her during her pilgrimage.
