IGNOU VC H P Dikshit demits office

New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Vice Chancellor H P Dikshit demitted office today after the completion of his tenure.

Prof S C Garg, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the university, took charge as the acting Vice Chancellor in accordance with IGNOU statute.

He is a professor of Physics and had served as the Director of School of Sciences. Prof Garg, also a researcher, was the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation (CFTC) Expert for Distance Science Learning in the University of South Pacific, Suva, Fiji.

Prof Dikshit would take up full time research in Jabalpur.
