Heavy rains likely in Goa

Pune, June 28 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan and Goa.

They are also likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, Madhya Maharashtra, Lakshadweep, at few places in the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

The southwest monsoon has been active in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan, Goa and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in east Madhya Pradesh.

They were markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh and appreciably to markedly below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and appreciably below normal in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of east Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the region.

Heavy to very heavy rains had occurred at most places in Sub- Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan and Goa. Heavy rains had occurred at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places in Madhya Maharashtra and Kerala, at few places in Arunachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, Marathwada, coastal Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar, at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Rajasthan, Punjab and at few places in Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

They had also occurred at east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Telangana, Rayalseema, north interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.
