Govt rejects LTTE apology for Rajiv Gandhi killing
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma has rejected LTTE apology for the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi saying India could not forgive and forget what happened.
''What's the point of a mere apology ? India and its people cannot forgive and forget,'' Mr Sharma said while commenting on LTTE ideologue Anton Balasingham'scomment yesterday in an television interview expressing aplogy for Rajiv Gandhi's assassination and urging India to forgive and forget what had happened in the past.
