Externment orders against Union Minister

Patna, June 28 (UNI) Bihar Election office today passed externment order against Union Minister of State for Human Resources M A A Fatmi, disallowing him to enter Darbhanga district till June 30 in view of election to the posts of chairman and vice-chairman of the district board.

State Election Commission Secretary Raghubansh Kumar Sinha told newspersons here that the state Election office took a decision to that effect after District Magistrate of Darbhanga Upendra Sharma apprehended that Mr Fatmi's presence in the district could influence the outcome of the election as he was already making attempts in this regard.

The DM suspected the ''impartiality'' of Mr Fatmi in the election and hence recommended for his externment from the district.

The election to the posts of chairman and vice-chairman of the Darbhanga district board is scheduled on June 30.
