Deceased minister to be cremated at Mahuva

Surat, June 28 (UNI) The cremation of the former Gujarat Finance Minister Jaswant Mehta, who died here today, will take place at Mahuva tomorrow, family sources said here.

Jaswant Mehta died of old age at his residence here this morning, where he had come two days ago for a brief visit.

He was 90. He is survived by his aged wife.

Jaswant Mehta was a highly respected Congress leader in the state and a visionary finance minister. Thousands of Congress workers paid their last respects to the departed veteran leader.
