Czech President says ready to name rightist PM
PRAGUE, June 27 (Reuters) Czech President Vaclav Klaus said today he is ready to name rightist leader Mirek Topolanek as prime minister even though the fate of his proposed centre-right government was unclear as it does not have a majority.
Topolanek's Civic Democrats, the leading party to emerge from an election on June 2-3, has agreed with the centrist Christian Democrats and the Green Party to form a government.
But the three have just 100 seats in the 200-seat lower house, and need the support of at least one deputy from the left to win a vote of confidence, expected in the coming weeks.
