Mumbai, June 28 (UNI) In an effort to provide the visitors with the best possible information, travel company Cleartrip has created a proprietary destination content, including restaurant and shopping information on 500 domestic destinations.

Briefing reporters here today, Cleartrip CEO Sandeep Murthy said the company will launch its online travel services from July 4.

The objective of launching online travel services is that the prospective customers can select from over 900 domestic hotels across India and a comprehensive range of established network carriers and low-cost airlines operating in the domestic market. The company will also launch car transfers and doemstic holiday packages soon, he said.

Cleartrip will also provide the domestic travellers with the largest inventory of destination information, he added.

The company is funded by Ram Shriram's Sherpalo Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, two leading US-based venture capital firms.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Shriram said: ''The internet will play an important role in the planning and fulfilment of travel needs of consumer and business traveller alike.'' Cleartrip has invested in technology to ensure that its customers are served their search results in seconds. Once search results are served through its unique interface facility, the customers can mix and match their preferred airline, time and price for both, outbound and return flights on one page, thereby reducing the number of pages that a consumer must load to find their preferred flight. With this, the customers can complete their entire booking in four simple steps, he added.
