CPM to launch major campaign against Rajasthan govt
Jaipur, June 28 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) will soon launch a major campaign against alleged police atrocities in Rajasthan.
Beginning with statewide dharnas on July 11 at district and tehsil level to highlight the alleged police atrocities in the rule of Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government, the party will hold three major public meetings in Sikar, Ganganagar and Udaipur in August.
The party will also raise the issues of rising atrocities against the minorities in BJP ruled states and the increasing cases of suicides by farmers.
The decision was taken in the party's two-day state committee meeting concluded on June 25 here.
The party would demand special grants in the areas where farmers were committing suicides and the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme and loans for farmers at four per cent interest.
