Complaint against Star One's Laughter Challenge show dismissed
Ahmedabad, June 28 (UNI) The complaint filed against two Pakistani artists, who participated in the 'Great Indian Laughter Challenge' TV show for allegedly making ''objectionable'' remarks against a backward caste in an episode, has been dismissed by the local court here.
The metropolitan court yesterday dismissed one Jitendra Solanki's petition against Star One television channel, jury Shekhar Suman, Navjot Singh Sidhu, film star Sunil Shetty and Pakistani contestants Ali Hasan and Irfan Malik, saying that the matter could not be entertained, as the complaint has not been filed by any member of the community concerned.
Solanki's advocate said the duo had made some adverse remarks against the Scheduled Caste community in an episode aired on June 16.
The complaint has been filed under Section 294 (A) and the Atrocities Act.
