AIFF President Dasmunshi to arrive in Goa on June 30

Panaji, Jun 28 (UNI) All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi will arrive in Goa on June 30 to witness the national competition tie between the India under-20 and seniors to be played at Chowgule ground in South Goa.

AIFF secretary Alberto Colaco said the Federation had organised the national competition match involving the seniors and juniors on June 30. India u-20 players, under coach Islam Akhmadov, are presently preparing for the SAFF tournament in Sri Lanka, which is scheduled for August. The juniors will camp in Margao till June 30.

He said the senior probables soccer camp, under new coach Bob Houghton, is also currently underway in Goa from June 21 to finalise the Indian team for the international tournament at Vancouver in Canada from July 19 to 25.

The national camp for seniors is likely to to conclude on July 15 before the squad for the Canada series is finalised, Mr Colaco said.

The four new players, who have been accomodated in the ongoing India football camp here, are Fredy Mascarehas, Micky Fernandes, Malswamtulunga and Madhab Das who have joined the camp ahead of next month's four-nation Vanacouver series, he added.
