Agricultural activities affected due to rainfall
Imphal, Jun 28 (UNI) Though sporadic rainfall has slashed down the temperature to a great extent, problems have aggravated of late as large patches of agricultural lands have been submerged.
MET officials said the minimum temperature recorded so far was 22.2 degree Celsius while the maximum was 29.6 degree Celcius.The relative humidity recorded was 69 per cent.
To add to the problems of the farmers, MET officials again predicted a heavy rainfall in the next few days.
The low lying areas at Thoubal, Imphal East, were also submerged and road communications disrupted due to the pathetic conditions of National Highways 39 and 53.
The situation has brought normal life to a standstill.
