Accident kills 5

Tikamgarh, MP, June 28 (UNI) Five persons, including a woman and her son, have been killed and three injured after a dumper collided head-on with a vahicle between Mudara and Nibadi along the Jhansi-Khajuraho National Highway, 80 km from this district town.

''The victims, who hailed from Jhansi district's Mauranipur, were heading for Jhansi for treatment. Traffic was obstructed for two hours following the mishap,'' said Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Rai.

The deceased in yesterday's accident were identified as Ramdevi Yadav, her son Kaluram, Babulal Yadav, Lakhan Singh and van driver Malkhan Yadav. Those hurt were hospitalised at Jhansi. The dumper driver is absconding.
