3 Naxals, cop injured in encounter at Gadchiroli

Nagpur, June 28 (UNI) Three Naxalites and a policeman were injured in an enounter at Kasanpur village in Gadchiroli district today.

Police said the Naxals opened fire at the anti-Naxalites squad personnel who were patrolling near the forests of Kasanpur village at about 1100 hrs today.

The police returned the fire in which three Naxals were injured.

However, the Naxalites managed to escape with their injured colleagues.

A policeman, Ganpat Madavi, was also injured in the Naxal firing and has been admitted to the hospital, A motorcycle, without a number plate, was seized from the spot by the police.
