240 bags of fake manure seized

Madikeri, Karnataka, June 28 (UNI) Kushalnagar police have seized 240 bags of fake manure from a lorry while it was being transported to the premises of gullible customers and arrested three persons in this connection.

Police said that based on complaints that agents from Kushalnagar were supplying fake manure to agriculturists, a lorry was intercepted and checked. Upon verification by the Horticulture department, it was found that the manure was indeed fake.

Police seized the lorry and effected the arrest.

Superintendent of Police Ramachandra Rao, who visited the spot, said the issue would be investigated and the guilty brought to book.
