Wipro to be aggressive on inorganic growth: Premji
Bangalore, June 27 (UNI) Tasting success on six major acquisitions, IT major Wipro has decided to aggressively tread on the path of inorgnic way in future to enable the country lead the industry growth, its Chairman Azim Premji has said.
In his communication to shareholders in the 2005-06 annual report of the company, he said from a simple service provision mode, IT services industry had transformed into a more complex and higher value added knowledge creation mode.
''Delivering value to customers in the emerging scenario will require a comprehensive but tightly knit combination of domain expertise, integrated service offerings, innovative solutions structuring and deep technical knowledge,'' he said adding that Wipro had identified and rolled out initiatives in its strategic and operational plans in this direction.
''We are confident this will be a significant differentiator for us that will enable us to continue to lead industry growth,'' he said adding that the company would look to inorganic initiatives to help accelerate the process and supplement organic growth rate.
''Our experience with the acquisition so far has been quite satisfactory. This has given us confidence to pursue this strategy more aggressively in future. We will similarly pursue strategy in Plan to deliver strong growth in future in all our businesses,'' he added.
