Weather continues to halt Chopra's march at Booz Allen Classic
Washington, June 26 (UNI) Bad weather continued to play havoc at the TPC Avenel course with Daniel Chopra still to complete his last two holes and stuck at one-under after slotting a couple of birdies in the final round of the five million dollar Booz Allen Classic at the Potomac, Maryland.
Chopra fired birdies on the 14th and 16th before inclement weather halted play with five players yet to complete their rounds.
Earlier, Chopra had a decent front nine despite starting on a disappointing note with a bogey on the first and stumbled again on the fourth but a birdie quartet helped him arrest the slide.
His back nine, however, got off to a disastrous start as he double-bogeyed the 11th and dropped another shot on the 12th but was recovering well having hit two birdies to finish the day at tied ninth.
At the top, American Ben Curtis is two holes away from clinching the title having established a comfortable lead.
